1. Purpose of the Committee: Annual recognition of Physician Assistant of the Year, Humanitarian Physician Assistant of the Year, PA Educator of the Year. Awarding of the Life Achievement and Leaderships Awards. Coordinating and awarding the Nate Alston Student Achievement Awards in a competitive scholarship competition. Six $1000 scholarships are awarded each year.
2. Committee accomplishments in 2004-2005
   1. Made a successful transition to the individual scholarship awards. The scholarships were awarded on merit and essay competition.
   2. Instituted Leadership Awards.
3. Plans to accomplish in 2005.
   1. Successful transition of the committee chairmanship.
   2. Increased participation of students in the scholarship. Have all the programs represented in the application process.
