Committee purpose:

• Educating the PSPA membership in issues of diversity
• Identify types of diversity and PSPA needs
• Establish mechanism to meet the needs of the PSPA membership and their patients with issues of diversity
• Increase effectiveness of membership committee
• Increase Fellow and Student membership by 10% respectively, every year
• Obtain overall membership renewal rate of 85%
• Define and promote membership value

Accomplishments from October 2008 – October 2009:

• Implemented and began to utilize Constant Contract for news briefs
• Held successful Volunteer and Faculty Reception at 2008 conference
• Continued to send birthday emails
• Sent congratulatory cards to PAs who were published
• Attempted to perform entire annual survey online

Planned accomplishments for October 2009 – October 2010:

• Will attend “Membership Success” Seminar in Nov 2009
• Sponsor another faculty/ volunteer reception at conference
• Increase tangible membership benefits
