Committee Purpose: To encourage positive changes with reimbursement for services provided by physician assistants and to serve as a resource on reimbursement issues for PSPA members.

Accomplishments October 2008 – October 2009:

• Provided education on reimbursement topics to Physician Assistant students at Lock Haven University and Penn College.
• Addressed several institution specific questions from members.
• Updated content on the PSPA website.
• Committee member attended the Reimbursement workshop at the Annual AAPA Conference in San Diego, CA.
• Gina Martin agreed to take over as Committee Chair effective November 3, 2009.

Planned Accomplishments October 2009 – October 2010:

• Tricia Marriott, PA-C, MPAS, DFAAPA, Director of Reimbursement Policy for AAPA, will present at the PSPA Annual Conference on the current state of reimbursement.
• Recruit additional committee members.
• Work towards creating and presenting a series of webinars, DVD presentations and/or podcasts on reimbursement issues for Physician Assistants.
• Collaborate with the PR & E Employment Subcommittee to pursue the possibility of presenting expanded reimbursement topics at the Annual Conference 2010 and/or an independent daylong seminar on Employment and Reimbursement Issues.
