The Physician-PA Team

The success of the Physician Assistant (PA) profession is owed to the quality and efficiency of health care that results from two professionals practicing medicine together: the Physician and PA. The physician functions as the captain of the team, supervising the direction and quality of care given by the PA. This model, which utilizes the strength of each professional, is easily streamlined into the practice because of the similarities in training and medical reasoning the two share. The end result is that patients are happy with the care they receive.
