The Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants hosts an employment service for employers to advertise openings and for PAs to post their resumes. The PSPA Careers Center
offers different options for attaching the most qualified candidates.
HOW TO FIND A PA
The PSPA offers advertising in the PSPA News
magazine. Mailing labels
for Pennsylvania Physician Assistants can also be purchased from the PSPA to aid you in a direct mailing to PAs in your area.
BENEFITS OF HIRING A PA
A Physician Assistant provides their supervisor with the ability to expand their practice. Benefits of hiring
a PA can be felt at the practice level, by the physician but most importantly by the patient.
SCOPE OF PRACTICE FOR PAs
Physician Assistants practice medicine under the direction of the supervising physician. The scope of practice
of the Physician / PA team is governed by the regulations under the State Board of Medicine and State Board of Osteopathic Medicine. The medical services provided by the PA can be reimbursed by third party insurance companies, Medicare and Medicaid.
Questions regarding the hiring and utilization of the Physician Assistant can be addressed by the PSPA staff
