PSPA Contacts/Liaisons to Outside Organizations
General Responsibilities
A Contact/Liaison shall:
• Represent the interests of the PSPA to the outside organization
• Serve as a contact/source of information to the outside organization
for matters regarding physician assistants and the PSPA
• Solicit input from the Board of Directors as to the position of the
PSPA on important issues
• Be familiar with the structure, function, and duties of the organization
for which he or she serves as a contact/liaison
• Monitor the available publications and web site of the organization
for matters that affect physician assistants
• Notify the Board of Directors of any issues that require action or
any opportunities to promote the PSPA’s objectives with the organization?
• Submit a report to the Board of Directors within 2 weeks of any meeting
of the outside organization
Attendance Responsibilities
A Contact/Liaison shall:
• Attend any pertinent meetings of the organization or arrange for an
alternate to attend in his or her absence
• Attend any scheduled meetings of the Government Affairs Committee
• Attend at least one Board of Directors meeting per year
• Attend any Strategic Planning Sessions of the Society
This position requires approximately 1-3 hours per month but may vary greatly
pending the schedule of the group involved.
